This is a collection of my works depicting Greek gods and Ancient Greek religion. This is a topic that I have a years-long passion for researching and illustrating. Like the Japanese Mythology series, I wanted to diversify depictions of the gods. I also wanted to imagine daily scenes from ancient life, and follow in the footsteps of painterly archaeological illustrators. These works are also an exercise in balancing the source material, levels of detail and stylized simplification as I develop my style over the years. Most of the pieces will be postcard-sized to fulfill the role of prayer cards. This series is ongoing.
